Instrument piloting completed across partner countries
Instruments
Volunteer enterprises in Turkey, France and Belgium have completed the piloting round for all three of HESAPRO's self-assessment instruments, marking the end of WP3 as set out in the project overview.
What was tested
Twenty-two enterprises across the three countries trialled the Workplace Safety–Productivity Self-Assessment, the Psychosocial Risk Indicator, and the Cost-of-Inaction Estimator over a ten-week period, each providing structured feedback on clarity, completion time and the usefulness of the resulting scorecard.
Key adjustments made
- The self-assessment checklist was shortened after feedback that the original version took closer to an hour rather than the intended 30–45 minutes.
- Scoring bands on the Psychosocial Risk Indicator were recalibrated after early piloting suggested the mid-range band was too broad to be useful.
- The Cost-of-Inaction Estimator's worksheet was reformatted to match terms already used in participating enterprises' existing financial reporting.
What happens next
The finalised instruments are now published on the instruments page. Piloting feedback also directly informed the guides published shortly afterwards — see the following update on the release of six new guides and leaflets.
Background
The piloting phase followed the desk research summarised in the project's Background Research report, published earlier in the project.
